About me

I’m Maya Thompson, a Charleston mom of two who fell in love with Airfryer cooking during my busiest years as an ICU nurse. Now I share simple, comforting recipes inspired by my Southern roots, my firefighter husband Jordan’s big appetite, and the everyday chaos of cooking for Harper, Noah, and our golden retriever Biscuit. My kitchen is warm, messy, loud, and full of stories — and I’m so happy to welcome you into it.

MY STORY

I grew up on the South Carolina coast, where food was always a way to comfort, gather, and care for the people you love. After years of working night shifts as an ICU nurse, I found myself craving a slower, more intentional life at home with my family. Somewhere between prepping school lunches and catching naps after long shifts, I discovered the Airfryer — and everything changed.

What started as a quick way to feed my firefighter husband, Jordan, and our kids, Harper and Noah, became a real passion. I loved how I could recreate the flavors I grew up with — crispy chicken, roasted veggies, warm Southern classics — without spending hours in the kitchen. Soon I was sharing little recipe ideas with friends, neighbors, and coworkers, and the response was so warm that I decided to pour my heart into this blog.

Today, most of my cooking happens in our sunny Charleston kitchen, with Harper perched on the counter, Noah dancing every time he hears the Airfryer beep, and Biscuit patiently waiting for crumbs. I share recipes the way I live: simply, honestly, and with as much warmth as I can offer.

If you’re looking for quick, cozy meals that fit into real family life, you’re in the right place.
I’m grateful you’re here — now let’s make something crispy together.
