Ingredients
  

  • 500 g strong white bread flour plus extra for dusting
  • 7 g instant yeast
  • 300 ml warm water
  • 10 g salt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for greasing
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds optional, for topping
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds optional, for topping

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, instant yeast, and salt together.
  2. Add warm water and honey to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each into a bagel.
  5. Make a hole in the center of each bagel with your thumb and reshape if needed.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C.
  7. Brush each bagel with a little olive oil and sprinkle with poppy or sesame seeds if desired.
  8. Place the bagels in the air fryer basket and cook for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
