- Start by preparing the onion. Cut off the top and peel it, then carefully slice the onion into petals, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
- Dip the onion in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C. Place the blooming onion in the fryer basket and spray with a little oil.
- Cook for about 20 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Remove from the air fryer and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce!

Tip: You can add a sprinkle of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick!
