Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces catfish fillets fresh or frozen, thawed
  • 1 cup buttermilk for soaking
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon paprika optional for flavor
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for spraying

Method
 

  1. Soak the catfish fillets in buttermilk for about 10 minutes.
  2. While the fillets are soaking, mix cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
  3. Remove the fillets from the buttermilk and coat them in the cornmeal mixture.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
  5. Place the coated fillets in the air fryer basket, spray lightly with olive oil, and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Flip the fillets, spray again, and continue to cook for another 10 minutes or until golden and crisp.
