Air Fryer Empanadas

Ingredients
  

  • 300 g ground beef or chicken
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 10 empanada wrappers
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for brushing

Method
 

  1. In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let cool.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer to 180°C.
  4. Take an empanada wrapper, place a spoonful of the filling in the center, fold it over, and seal the edges with a fork.
  5. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  6. Place the empanadas in the Air Fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes. Flip them halfway through.
  7. Remove from the Air Fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Tip: Serve with a side of salsa for an extra kick!
