Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium green tomatoes sliced
  • 120 g cornmeal
  • 60 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 120 ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for spraying

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the beaten egg and milk.
  4. Dip each tomato slice into the egg mixture, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture.
  5. Place the battered tomato slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Spray the tops lightly with olive oil.
  7. Air fry for 10 minutes, then flip them, spray again with olive oil, and air fry for an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Tip: Feel free to add some grated Parmesan cheese to the cornmeal mixture for an extra cheesy flavor!
