Ingredients
  

  • 500 g bread dough store-bought or homemade
  • 100 g baking soda for boiling
  • 1 l water for boiling
  • 50 g coarse salt for topping
  • 50 g unsalted butter melted for brushing
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash

Method
 

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 200 °C.
  2. In a pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil and add the baking soda.
  3. Cut the bread dough into small bite-sized pieces and boil them in the soda water for about 30 seconds.
  4. Remove the pretzel bites from the water and place them on a paper towel to dry.
  5. Brush the pretzel bites with the beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  6. Arrange the pretzel bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Remove them and brush with melted butter before serving.

Tip: Serve these warm with your favorite mustard for a delightful treat!
