Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg whole chicken cleaned and patted dry
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer to 180 °C.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the chicken, ensuring it's well coated.
  4. Place the chicken in the Air Fryer basket, breast side down, and cook for 20 minutes.
  5. After 10 minutes, flip the chicken to cook breast side up for the remaining time.
  6. Check for doneness with a meat thermometer, ensuring it reaches 75 °C in the thickest part.
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes before carving.

Notes

Tip: For an extra crispy skin, air fry for an additional 5 minutes at a higher temperature!
